Australia elections – level 1

08-05-2025 07:00

Anthony Albanese wins the vote. He is still the Prime Minister of Australia. His party wins many seats.

The other man, Peter Dutton, loses the vote and his job in government. Albanese talks about helping people with health, energy, and money problems. Many young people like him. He uses the internet and podcasts to talk to them. Young people now vote more than old people in Australia.

Now, Albanese and his team must do what they promise. Some people vote for small parties. The big parties want to know why. They will try to get those voters back.

Difficult words: party (a group of people in the government with similar ideas), health (medical care), promise (to say that you will do something in the future).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What issues does Albanese talk about helping people with?
