How to make meetings better – level 2
01-07-2025 07:00
Many workers in the UK spend too much time in meetings they think are not useful.
It is important to prepare before a meeting. People who run meetings should send a list of topics and maybe a question to begin. Other people should read the agenda before the meeting and think about what they want to say. It also helps to know who is in the meeting. Some people talk a lot and some don’t. But a good meeting lets everyone speak.
In online meetings, names are easy to see, and people can raise their hands. But meetings that are both online and in-person can be harder. Short breaks, even for tea, can help people stay fresh. After the meeting, it is good to send a message to thank people and remind them what to do.
Difficult words: useful (helpful and effective), agenda (a list of things to talk about in a meeting), fresh (full of energy).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What should meeting organizers send to participants before the meeting to help them prepare?
