A farmer takes RWE to court – level 1

A man from Peru has a problem. His town is near a glacier.
The ice melts. He says RWE, a company in Germany, makes too much dirty air. He wants the company to give money to help his town. The company says it does not work in Peru. It says climate change is not only in Peru.
A court in Germany says the man’s house is safe. The court does not want to do more. The case is over.
Some people say that the case is big. They want big companies to stop making the air dirty. They want to help the Earth.
Difficult words: glacier (big ice which moves slowly), melt (when ice or snow turns into water), over (finished, not happening anymore).
