India has launched a military operation called Operation Sindoor targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

According to the Indian government, these sites were used to plan attacks against India, including a recent deadly attack on tourists in Kashmir.

India says it was careful not to hit Pakistani military sites and aimed to avoid making the situation worse. The action, they claim, was focused and limited in nature.
